Our first Thanksgiving with Rylee!

Well the last few weeks haven't been to exciting. In fact I really can't recall much of what we did. That could be lack of sleep:), who knows. We did have our very first Thanksgiving with our bundle of joy. I was so excited for it too. She isn't old enough to do anything, so really not sure why I was so excited, but I was. We started out going to my Dads. We had Rylee all dressed up in a pretty dress and right before we left the house she decided to puke all over it. Apparently she didn't like it very much. She is very picky about her clothes:). Anyways, back to Thanksgiving. We spent a few hours and my Dad's, the we headed over to Danny's sister Amy's. We luckily only had two dinners to go to. We usually have 4. We enjoyed our day, but Rylee got a little overwhelmed I think. She didn't really nap and got passed around a lot. We then had another dinner Friday at my Mom's. It is always nice to have another dinner the day after. We don't have to worry about rushing everywhere. We just relaxed the rest of the weekend. Here are some photos from Thanksgiving.

Rylee with Grandpa John.

Here she is looking as cute as ever.

She is just being cute here.

Danny's sister also got married November 16th. It was about time:). Here are a few photos of that.

What a happy family!

Baby Lexi wouldn't leave their sides. So cute.

I will post a few more random but adorable photos.

The last two weeks

Well, we have been pretty busy the last two weeks. With birthdays and working and everything else, it is hard to stay up to date on this posting thing. November 1st was my step moms birthday. I think I already posted about that, so I will move on. My dad had his surgery on November 2nd. They were making sure that his skin cancer didn't spread and that they got it all. He was pretty sore for about a week, but is doing great now. He got great news too. The cancer didn't spread anywhere and they did get it all the first time around. We are all so relieved. Danny's dad is also out of the hospital. Which is just amazing. He is still pretty weak, but doing great considering he had massive surgery on his heart. We are so lucky that both of our dads are going to be okay. Thank you to everybody that said a prayer. Last weekend was very busy. Well mainly just Sunday. It was Abbie and Alberts Birthdays. We went to Abbie's first. She was so cute. I will post pictures later. I am on the wrong computer right now. Then we went to Alberts. We hung out there for a while and then headed to Brandi and Jess's because they had Paige's party also on Sunday. Her birthday was on Nov 6th. We took her present over after the party. We didn't make it in time for the party. Needless to say, we were not home at all on Sunday. Poor Danny didn't get to watch any football. This last week has been pretty busy with work. We are using a new appt system at work and it has been quite a task learning and getting used to it. It should be nice once we are used to it, but for now it seems like it takes forever to get anything done. This past Thursday Rylee got her first set of shots. So sad. She did pretty good though. She did scream, but it didn't take long for us to comfort her. On Friday, I went to Laughlin with my Dad and Anne. I played blackjack pretty much all night. I love blackjack. Danny stayed home with Rylee. He is such a great Daddy. Finally today. We didn't do to much. We did a little bit of cleaning and then just watched football. My Saints are 9-0. Woo Hoo. First time in Franchise history. Danny's team was also undefeated, but it is not looking so great for them now. The Colts can't hang with the Patriots. Danny hates Tom Brady with a passion. Well, I will Definitely post pictures later. I figured while I had a free moment though, that I would go ahead and give an update.

Rylee is 2 months old!

Well, where to begin. It has been a long two weeks. Danny's dad had to have open heart surgery. It has been 2 1/2 weeks since the surgery. It was very scary there for a while. He didn't do to well in the beginning. His heart would go into a weird rythm and they would have to shock it back into the correct rythm. He just looked so bad laying there. He is doing much better now. The took him off the ventilator at the end of last week. He is still very week, but it is good to be able to talk to him and see him. While we were at the hospital, Rylee decided to roll over twice. She rolled from her back to her tummy two times. I couldn't believe it. She is doing so much. She has also found her feet. It is so funny. She will just sit there and stare at them. Speaking of Rylee, she is 2 months old today. She is growing so fast:(. She hasn't really been feeling well though. She is full of boogers. I feel so bad when I have to use the suction thing on her, but she can't breath if I don't. Last night was Halloween. She was a witch, but we didn't keep her costume on for very long. She just didn't seem very comfortable in it. We did however get some pictures of her in it a few days ago when we carved pumkins. I will post a few pictures on here, but if you want to see more, just go to her totsite. That website is www.totsites.com/tot/babyrylee09 . That site is just for her.

Now on to a few other things. Today is my stepmothers bday. Happy Birthday Anne. She and my dad are on their way up to Cottonwood. My dad has to have a minor surgery tomorrow at the Mayo Clinic. We love you Dad and hope for a speedy recovery. Not a whole lot has happened since the last post. Oh wait, I forgot to add something about Little Miss Rylee. On Halloween we were up in Vegas visiting Danny's dad. It was in the morning, I was all ready to go and was playing with Rylee on the bed. I was doing Superman with her, when she decided to puke all over my face. THANK GOD I had my mouth closed. You know they always say not to do that kind of stuff because the baby will puke on you, but I had never seen it happen. Until now. So needless to say I had to rewash my hair and redo my makeup. I could smell baby puke all day because of it. Anyways, now time for some pictures.

Happy Birthday Anne! We love you.

Here is my baby girl!

Grandpa Mike and Vegas

Well, we haven't posted in quite some time now. I guess lets start from the beginning of October. October 3rd and 4th Danny played in the Andy Devines Day softball tournament. His team ended up taking 3rd place. We watched him play on Saturday. It was a little windy, but not to terrible. Rylee enjoyed it. She also discovered her thumb at the park. She started sucking away. It was so cute, but not a habit I want her to start up so we removed it. She has only found it once more since then. We didn't watch any games on Sunday because the wind was absolutely terrible. On Monday the 5th, I had my PP check up. Everything went well. Rylee had a check up on Tuesday the 6th. The Doctor said she is a tall, skinny baby. I think she is a little chunky, but he said according to the stats she is a little on the skinny side, but nothing to worry about. She is still in the normal range. She weighed 9lbs 10 ounces and was 22 inches long. She is doing very well. Not much more happened the rest of the week. Danny's sister was going to get married on the 9th of October, but decided to wait because Danny's dad was sick. He apparently had a massive heart attack about 6 weeks ago, but didn't realize it. He hadn't been feeling well, but he is a stubborn Stout and refused to go the Doctor. He works in Columbia so while he was on his rotation down there, he got really sick. They took him to the doctor, who diagnosed him with a virus. Actually 2 different doctors there did. Not sure how they missed the fact that he had a massive heart attack, but I guess that is besides the point. He ended up having to be transported to Vegas by a medical plane. He got to Vegas on Oct 10th, late in the evening. He was still acting completely normal. He would just get short of breath if he walked for to long. We decided to wake up early on the 11th to go see him. He was just hanging out enjoying some football when we were visiting him. Hard to believe that anything was seriously wrong. We ended up staying the night, because they were going to run some more tests on him to see what all was going on. On Monday the 12th they realized that he was in bad shape. We decided to come back to Kingman to get some more clothes, because we didn't know how long we would be there. We ended up staying till Friday. They were going to do open heart surgery on Wednesday, but then postponed it until Thursday, because they wanted his kidneys and Liver to be completely normal. They took him in to surgery at 10am and he was in surgery until about 3pm. He had to have several things done. Danny was at the hospital with all the other family the whole time. I stayed at the hotel with Rylee and Tori because we didn't want the kids at the hospital. Everybody got to see him on Thursday night. I went up and saw him on Friday morning. I prepared myself for what he was going to look like. He was on a ventilator. I walked in and said Hello. He looked right at me. I then told him that I loved him and he mouthed it back. I held his hand for a bit and then told him I was going to send in some more family. He wouldn't let my hand go, which just broke my heart. He had done that with other family members, I guess I just didn't expect him to do that to me. He was trying to tell me something, but I couldn't understand, so he started to write it out. He put Kiss for, and then I said Rylee and she shook his head yes. I said I would and left the room. On the way back to the waiting room I lost it. It just broke my heart to see him just lying there so helpless, yet so alert. I can't imagine Rylee growing up not knowing one of her Grandpas. He is such a strong man. He will pull through this, it is just so hard to see him in this state. Well, we left Vegas on Friday and returned home. It was great to be home, but hard not to be up there with him. He had a balloon that was in him, helping his heart pump. They removed that today the 18th. If he does well through the night, they will try to take him off the ventilator tomorrow. We are all praying he is strong enough. Little Miss Rylee did so well down there. She is such a good baby. We were rotating going to the hospital with Amy, because we didn't want the kids at the hospital, so one would watch the kids while the other went to visit him. I also feel like such a terrible mother. I was trying to load all the pictures I had on my camera to the computer and some how lost them all. So all pictures from September 13th till now are gone. I cried for about 45 minutes. Danny said we will just have to reinact all the photos like that one commercial, when the mom loses everything, except for her son is a bit older than Rylee. I just feel like such a retard. El well not much I can do about it now. I will just take a ton a day to make up for it. Well I think this post is long enough. I will post a few photos that I have, but they are from a while ago so sorry.

Here is Rylee with her Grandpa Mike.

Here is Miss Rylee being adorable.

I forgot to add that Rylee had her first play date. It must have October 1st. Can't remember for sure, but it was around the beginning of October. We went to my friend Brandi's house. She has play dates every Thursday. Her two kids are Paige and Cason. Then there was Megan and her son Patrick, and also Veronica and Daughter Lilly. They are all old enough to play with each other. Rylee is a bit to small yet. It was nice to get out of the house though and conversate with some adults. I went to school with both Brandi and Megan. We were all friends in High School. I met Veronica through Brandi. She is Brandi's sister in law. I enjoy talking with her too. Well I think that is all for now. Will post again soon. Hopefully:)

Colts game and Rylee is 1 month old.

Well, I knew I wouldn't be very good at this blogging thing. This past week has gone by really fast. Last Sunday Me and Danny went to the Cardinals, Colts game. Danny is a Colts fan. It was a lot of fun, but hard too. We left Rylee with my mom at the hotel. This was the first time I have been away from her for more than like 30 minutes. She did very well with Grandma and Grandpa though. Back to the football game. It was a lot of fun. The stadium is so nice. Thanks Dad for the tickets. I totally forgot the camera in the car, so no pictures of the game, but it was a ton of fun.

Rylee is now 1 month old. She is growing so fast. She has already changed so much, in just a month. So she had her first out of town trip on Sunday to the Colts game. She did pretty good in the car. She would cry for about 5 minutes and then fall asleep. We got her a Halloween costume while we were down there. She is going to be a witch. I am on Dannys computer so no pictures for now. I will add some later. I will also be putting more up on her tot site. Everyone have a good night.

My Baby is 3 weeks old today.

Little Miss Rylee is 3 weeks old today. I can't believe it. I have decided to set up a different site for her to post too. I will still post to this one, but it will be more family related. The other site will just be for her. That website is http://www.totsites.com/tot/babyrylee09. It will have a lot more photos too. I will probably go private on both sites also, so if you want access just let me know.

Sorry, this was very exciting for me. Her umbilical cord fell of today September 10th. Now we can give her real baths. We took her out to mommy's work today to meet everybody. They all absolutely loved her. How could you not though, she is just so darn cute. We were gonna try and take her to Daddy's work, but decided to try that tomorrow. We also went and visited grandma who was working in the valley today. We are now home just relaxing. She is sleeping in her swing and Daddy is sleeping on the couch. What a couple of lazy bums:).

Well, the first week has flown by. It is kind of sad and scary how fast it went by. We have had lots of visitors come by and see our new bundle of joy. My little brother Matt was so cute with her. He came over Thursday night, when we had gotten home from the hospital. Apparently he wanted to come see her so bad he was cleaning house so that he could. He just kept saying how cute she was. Mike couldn't come see her because he got sent home from school sick. Lexi also held her. She is gonna be such a good Auntie. So far Rylee has been an excellent baby. She only gets fussy when she is hungry. She can sleep through just about anything. We gave her her first bath on Sunday. We forgot to take pictures and video tape it though:(. She got her second bath on Wednesday. Daddy video taped, while Mommy did all the work. She had her first appointment on Tuesday the 8th. She was still only 20.5 inches long, but weighed 7 pounds and 13 ounces. She actually gained weight, when most babies lose weight. She is a very good eater though. Her first adventure out was to walmart on Saturday the 5th. I was feeling very cooped up in the house, so we made a quick trip to Walmart. She slept the whole time. We had a bbq on Sunday the 6th, for Great Grandma's 75th bday party. She is such a great Grandma. We love her very much. Then we went to Danny's dads for dinner. All the nieces got to meet Rylee for the first time. Tori was very excited. She was in New Mexico when we were released from the hospital. She had threatened to stay home because she wanted to see Rylee so bad:). We had another bbq at my mom's on Monday the 7th for labor day. Rylee had already gone on all sorts of little adventures. Sorry this blog is all over the place. I am just trying to remember everything that has happened in the first week of her life. I don't want to miss a thing, but it is so hard to remember things when you are so tired:). She had her first explosive diaper all over mommy. It was quite messy:). This little girl can toot. She has some big boy toots come out of her. It is so funny, because she is just so tiny and cute and then to hear her toot real loud, it makes us laugh. We have tons of pictures already. I will attach some on here so you can enjoy. Well that is all for now. Will post more later.

The Birth

Proud Daddy with his baby girl. Sorry it is so blurry.

Proud Mommy with baby girl. She is absolutely perfect.

Daddy had to make sure you didn't have a tail or a 3rd nipple:). He also had to count her fingers and toes.

Me in Labor. What a beautiful picture. Or not at all.

It was early on September 1st, 2009. We were told to meet Dr. Tedesco at the hospital at 6:30 in the morning to be induced. I was very excited, but also very nervous. We get there and are told we needed to wait in the waiting room, because there was a problem. I figured they were really busy and were gonna have to send us home, which made me really upset. They were busy, but they didn't send us home. They just had to wait for a room to be cleaned. We got put into our room and Dr. Tedesco broke my water around 7:00am. I was still only dialated to a 2 when we got to the hospital. I was a 2 the last month of pregnancy. After about 2 hours of no real progress, they decided to give me pitocin. Once I got that it didn't take long for the contractions to start. I was having really bad back labor right off the back. They said because baby was facing the wrong way, so her spine was on mine. A few hours pass and they give me some Stadol, which just made me feel really weird. Couldn't keep my eyes open. That didn't last long. At about 2:00pm, I decided I wanted my epidural. I was only dialated to 3 at the time. I was so lucky to have Dr. Tedesco as the doctor, because he does his own epidurals and I didn't have to wait to get it. It was such a relief. The nurse checked me at around 6ish and said I was dialated to a 6. I was excited, but then Dr. Tedesco checked me and said I was only a 5. That was disappointing. They decided to start upping my pitocin. Every 20 to 30 minutes they would come in and up it. This is when I started to feel the contractions again. They gave me a little bit more of my epidural. At around 9:30pm, Dr. Tedesco came in and checked me again. I was just hoping to be at 6 or 7cm. Well I was at a 9. He said we would be pushing in about 30 minutes. I then got extremely nervous. Well, 10:00pm comes and we are ready to push. He left my epidural on, he said as long as I push well, then it could stay on, so I was bound and determined to push, even though I couldn't feel anything:). After about 30 minutes of pushing, our beautiful Baby Rylee was here. The funny thing was that the diamondback game was on, so in between contractions both Dr. Tedesco and Danny were watching the game. What the heck was that about. Well, back to Rylee, she was absolutely perfect. She weighed 7 pounds 9.6 ounces and was 20.5 inches long. Our visitors that came to see her that night were, Grandpa John, Grandma and Grandpa Key, Auntie Jessi, Amy and Sarah. They were so busy that day and night, that they didn't take her from us to bathe her until after 1:00am. I had to wait for my epidural to wear off before they could move us rooms. That happened around 4:00am and then they brought us back our beautiful baby girl. Daddy and Mommy were both so tired, but so happy to finally have our baby girl.
